Dogfish, Black Mouthed (Galeus Melastomus) can grow upto around 90c, in length but most mature fish are only between 65 - 75 cm.
The Dogfish, Black Mouthed (Galeus Melastomus) can be identified by the inside of the which is black. This differentiates this species from the bull huss.
The black mouthed dogfish is a deep water shark found at depths of 200 - 500 m and occasionally ip to 55m.
 The black mouthed dogfish eats small boney fishes, crustaceans and othe small elasmobranchs.
