Species of sea bream growing to a moderate size, found in the Eastern Atlantic as far north as the Bay of Biscay, and Western Mediterranean. Predominantly silver colouration with pin fins, and relatively large eyes.
Found over broken ground from shallow water to relatively deep areas, it feeds on small fish and crustaceans.
