Red Bream, pagellus bogaraved, ia a common bream, in northern waters a summer visitor, it is found in large shoals usually over rocky ground or wrecks. Predominantly fish eating, but also crustaceans. Breeds in summer and autumn south west of Britain and further south.
Red Bream, pagellus bogaraved is a good food fish.
Deep bodied fish with a large eye, colouration reddish-grey with silvery sides, with greyish-red fins.
